Water Blasting & Vacuum Services Inc. is the sole regional deliverer of wood ash from the Twin Rivers Paper Company Inc. plant in Edmundston, NB to nearby agricultural users as an agricultural soil amendment. However, the commercial expansion and development of the wood ash transport is currently limited by unawareness of the material agricultural properties. A technical evaluation of the wood ash commodity properties by the Eastern Canada Soil and Water Conservation Centre (ECSWCC) of Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) at Grand Falls will be carried out to provide agricultural knowledge and ensure acceptance of this commodity in the regional agricultural production. The findings of this project should help expand the use of wood ash in the region and consequently expand the commercial transport component of Water Blasting & Vacuum Services Inc. business.
