This project will lead to the development of a novel methodology that will result in the empirical differentiation between recreational and competitive hockey players in both youth and adult populations. Information from this project will be used to:**- Develop a new line of skates equipped with sensors that will be used to monitor skills and performance levels.**- Develop a novel scientific virtual coaching and training platform that will contribute to the improvement of skills and performance in youth and adult hockey players.******The design of such novel equipment and platforms will contribute to the development of the supporting organization by bringing new innovative and attractive products to the market.****This project will also benefit to Canada by allowing young Canadians to use modern techniques and technologies to assess and improve their hockey skills. This will help prevent drop-outs by improving their perception of good competences, which will lead to more enjoyment and allow young Canadians to stay active and healthy.**
