One of the aims of drilling and completion processes in oil and gas wells is to hydraulically seal the well and**provide zonal isolation. However, there is strong evidence that this aim is not always achieved. For instance,**there are numerous challenges in these processes, which need to be properly addressed. One particular example**is the formation of a thick mud cake, the growth of which will be addressed in this collaborative project,**through the development of a model that relies on a complete rheological characterization of drilling mud.
