Plotly is a data visualization company focused on making it easy to deliver interactive apps, charts and graphics that enable exploration and sharing of insights and ideas. Dash, Plotly's flagship software, is the fastest-growing open-source framework for building interactive data analytics applications, including a subset library specially designed to address the most common data visualizations needs for the analysis of omic and biological structural data: Dash Bio. The main underlying challenge is to address human-factors concerns to Plotly's Dash Bio library, improving its efficiency by incorporating the cognitive aspect of data visualization to their applications. The proposed project will analyse data visualization for precision medicine and build a Data Visualization Library containing visualization types alongside with its meaning to the field of study based on the literature. This will provide Plotly with a deeper understanding of Dash Bio solutions application, shedding light into improvements to be incorporated and new solutions to explore in future versions of its products.
