The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fault-free continuity test is an essential requirement to maintain the reliability of electronic devices. In order to improve the efficiency of their continuity check process, ENA ElectronicsLaboratory (ENA) would like to develop a Short Finder Brush (SFB). The SFB will help to effectively andefficiently check PCBs for faults and improve ENA's service and repair processes. Since 2001, ENA hasprovided industrial electronic repair services and electronic engineering services to any industry that usesautomation in their processes. ENA has made efforts in the past, however, additional support is needed for the SFB development, and this collaboration with the Mohawk College Energy and Power Innovation Center(EPIC) will address that need. ENA and EPIC will collaborate to create a circuit design, select the appropriate brush, test the SFB, design a case, and produce the case with support from the Mohawk College AdditiveManufacturing Innovation Centre. The combined expertise and laboratories of EPIC and ENA provide anexcellent platform to support the SFB prototype development. The development of the SFB will help ENA's business in Ontario and promote efficiency in their services and make the company more profitable. Further, the project will provide excellent industry and research investigation experiences for a Mohawk Collegestudent, and create a foundation for future collaborations between ENA and EPIC.
