FPrimeC Solutions Inc. is a technology company in Oshawa, Canada, which develops innovative testing solutions for cost-effective and reliable assessment of civil infrastructure facilities. In the proposed collaborative project, FPrimeC and Centennial College's Wearable, Interactive and Mobile Technologies Access Centre in Health (WIMTACH) would like to design and develop a novel wireless NDT instrument which will evaluate and analyze the health and safety of various concrete structures such as bridge, dam, etc. cost effectively and 10 times quicker than commercially available NDTs. Moreover, the proposed device will be able to store the data in a cloud providing quicker and safer remote access for engineers to analyze the testing data. WIMTACH will facilitate this project by bringing on-board their experts in product design (electromechanical design). The proposed project will strengthen Centennial College's expertise in electromechanical design and enhance the interaction and interdisciplinary partnership between college staff, researchers, faculties, students, and industry. Furthermore, this multidisciplinary collaboration will allow FPrimeC to address its technical gap and keep its position as one of the technology developers for the inspection of concrete structures in the global market.
