Red River College's Accounting & Computer Education (ACE) and NorthStar Robotics (NR) plans to collaborate on developing a technology that provides NRs autonomous snowplow with quality of cleaning information when clearing an area of snow. Lidar and sonar sensors will be mounted overlooking the edge of the plow to monitor for snow overflowing to form a windrow. This data will be used to train a machine learning (ML) algorithm to use the quality of clean information to improve performance.
