Modern methods of synthesis will be used to prepare chemically well-defined and structurally novel materials capable of facilitating the regeneration of damaged nerves and bone structures. This should lead to new means for treating degenerative diseases and major injuries, events that impact on hundreds of thousands of Australians each year.
