The projects described herein aim at the development of new synthetic tools for the preparation of organic compounds, in particular fluorine-containing molecules which are of high interest in pharmaceutical industry, in agrochemistry as well as in material sciences. Specific objectives are: 1) the improvement of the deoxofluorination reaction using OmegaChem's XtalFluor reagents; 2) the discovery of new transformations using OmegaChem's XtalFluor reagents for the synthesis of fluorinated (sulfonyl fluorides) and non-fluorinated compounds (acyl halides); and 3) the development of novel synthetic approaches to pentafluorosulfanyl-containing compounds. Overall, these projects are significant in the context that OmegaChem is continually working to introduce on the market new molecules that can be integrated to the design of more complex structures demonstrating innovative properties and increased efficiency.
