The projects describe herein aim at the development of new synthetic tools, either reactions or reagents, for the preparation of organic compounds, in particular fluorine-containing molecules which are of high interest in pharmaceutical and material sciences as well as in agrochemistry. Specific objectives are the development of new chemistry using OmegaChem's reagents XtalFluor for the synthesis of fluorinated (monofluoroalkenes and aryl fluorides) and non-fluorinated compounds (halogenoalkanes, amides, isonitriles and biaryls). In addition, the elaboration of novel electrophilic sources of fluorine will be pursued.
