Bioresource serch from extreme environment with virome mining

利用奥巴马温泉和小松国温泉的地热水和温泉沉积物分离嗜热噬菌体。对分离的噬菌体phi OH3、phi OH16、phi KJ3、phi KJ4和phi KJ5的斑块形成、形态、宿主范围、复制和基因组结构进行了检测。所有分离的噬菌体均被归为隐病毒科，预测的orf具有较高的相似性。这些结果表明，无论分离点如何，热丝状噬菌体在一起都是相似的。

Isolation of thermophilic bacteriophages were carried out with geothermal waters and sediments in hot springs from Obama hot spring and Komatsu-jigoku hot spring. Isolated phages, phi OH3, phi OH16, phi KJ3, phi KJ4 and phi KJ5, were examined with plaque formation, morphology, host range, replication and genome structure. All isolated phages were categorized into Inoviridae, and predicted ORFs on these phages showed high similarities together. These results suggested Thermus filamentous phages are resemble together, regardless of isolating points.
