A Histopathological Study on the Effect of Indomethacin on Bone Resorption in an Experimental Apical Periodontitis

研究吲哚美辛（10mg/Kg/d）对wistar系实验性根尖牙炎大鼠骨吸收的影响。吲哚美辛降低了骨吸收表面积、破骨细胞数量和非特异性酸性磷酸酶（ACP）阳性细胞数量。破骨细胞ACP活性明显降低。吲哚美辛治疗后，根尖牙周韧带内几乎未见多形核白细胞浸润。但地层面面积明显增大。提示根尖牙周炎骨吸收与骨形成的关系是一种耦合现象，PG可能刺激破骨细胞骨吸收。

The effect of indomethacin (10mg/Kg/day) on bone resorption was investigated on an experimental apical periodontitis induced in wistar strain rats. Indomethacin reduced the extent of resorption surface, the number of osteoclasts, and the number of non-specific acid phosphatase (ACP) positive cells. ACP activity in the osteoclasts was decreased considerably. In addition, the infiltration of polymorphonuclear leucocytes in the apical periodontal ligament was hardly seen after the administration of Indomethacin. But the extent of formation surface was significantly increased. These results suggest that the relationship between bone resorption and formation in apical periodontis is a coupling phenomenon, and PG may stimulate osteoclastics bone resorption.
