英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The development of cutting edge technologies for imaging functional activities of brain are in need of constant development to assimilate the rapid advances made possible by electro-optic technology and theoretical advances in optcal imaging. A simple flying spot/CCD transmission system will complement the reflectance remote sensing system proposed here in order to achieve comparable data sets suitable for high resolution reconstruction. The specific aim for this project is to provide in-magnet coupling for co-registered imaging and data fusion of brain using a novel remote sensing system in which the tissue is scanned by a flying spot technique and data is acquired with a variable magnification, multi-element detector system (ICCD) or multiple PMT's and appropriate imaging algorithms for high resolution brain imaging.
