Design and Development of a Cloud-based, Data Analytics System - Compatible with a Web and Mobile Application

Winters Instruments was founded in 1953 and is a global manufacturer of pressure and temperature instruments. Their comprehensive product lines of pressure gauges, thermometers, diaphragm seals, pressure and temperature transmitters, pressure switches and accessories are brought to market by an extensive network of distribution partners and are trusted by some of the world's most recognized Fortune 500 companies.In the proposed collaborative project, WIMTACH and Centennial College's Wearable, Interactive and Mobile Technologies Access Centre in Health (WIMTACH) will plan and create a novel migration strategy which will resolve issues such as: replacing deprecated code/functions and outdated libraries, and the challenges of having to modify business logic and replacing the existing framework may raise security issues, thus requiring specific integration in code-base and to port all of the components to the web-component standard, in a framework agnostic and pluggable way. WIMTACH proposes in developing state-of-art data management and digital transformation solutions which would address these challenges and help in migrating their current data management infrastructure to a highly secure, cloud-based service. WIMTACH will facilitate this project by bringing on-board their experts in software development. The proposed project will strengthen Centennial College's expertise in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and enhance the interaction and interdisciplinary partnership between college staff, researchers, faculties, students, and industry.
