The Engineering Departments and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Kentucky will purchase an eight-node Intel iPSC/860 hypercube for the enhancement of high performance computing and communications research at the University. The research involved in the areas of : 1) Computational Electromagnetics, 2) Numerical Algorithms, 3) Software Platforms, 4) Turbulent Atmospheric Transport, and 5,) Chemically Reactive Turbulent Atmospheric Flows.
