The goal of this project is to develop a deductive database system enabling the integration of various types and sources of highdimensional molecular tumor data sets. We thereby approach a systems biology view on cancer cells by a joint investigation of different molecular aspects given e.g. by genomic data and expression data. Furthermore, the system does not only enable the user to store and analyze his own research data, but also provides a comparative view with data from other research data repositories for cancer genomics. This will highly increase the scope of information available in the analysis of research data and enable novel approaches in scientific investigation. The system will be realized in a public instance in which the data and analysis options are accessible to everyone according to the respective restrictions of usage. On the other hand, each institution can operate its own local instance as needed to use the system for the nonpublic storage and analysis of its own research data.
