项目摘要

本研究では，日本人英語学習者の読解中の音韻符号化を検証する。先行研究では，音韻符号化における日本人英語学習者の読解熟達度や音韻認識能力の熟達度の影響を検証した研究が少ない。また，読み方や読解指導による黙読中の音韻符号化の程度やプロセスの変化が検証されていないといった限界点がある。したがって，本研究の目的は (1) 日本人英語学習者の読解・音韻認識の熟達度による読解中の音韻符号化の違い，(2) テキスト理解度と読解中の音韻符号化の関係性，(3) 読み方による読解中の音韻符号化の違い，(4) 指導による読解中の音韻符号化の変化を明らかにすることであった。2022年度は，読解中の音韻符号化に関わる能力である音韻認識能力，特にプロソディーの中でも強勢に関わる音韻認識能力と英文読解熟達度の関係を調査した。具体的には，日本人英語学習者の読解熟達度，音韻認識能力 (Phonological Awareness，Prosodic Awareness) の関係を調査した。結果として，読解熟達度に強勢に関わる音韻認識能力が貢献していることが示唆された。今後はこの実験を論文としてまとめる予定である。また，2021年度に行った読解中の強勢処理に関するオフライン実験のオンラインでの処理を検証する実験を行う予定である。
