项目摘要

本研究は，文章中の情報や関係性の明示度合いである「結束性」に焦点を当て，日本人英語学習者の読解における推論生成を検証するものである。研究申請時には，英語学習者の読解中の視線を計測するEyeLinkなどの機器を用いて，読解中のオンラインデータを分析する実験計画を立てていた。しかし，前年度に引き続き，令和3年度も新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により，当初予定していた対面での視線計測実験を行うことはかなわなかった。そのため，先行研究のメタ分析や，コロナ以前に収集したデータの再分析により，研究目的を達成するように努めた。特に，令和3年度は「テキストの結束性が日本人英語学習者の読解に与える影響」を，テキストの理解，知覚，推論生成を含む処理を観点として検討した。検討においては，日本人英語学習者用の英語教材における結束性の分析（テキスト分析）や，日本人英語学習者を対象として行った実証実験（結束性の異なる条件を学習者に読解させ，その理解度や推論生成の度合いを検討したもの）を総合的に分析・考察した。研究結果から，英語学習者の読解時の処理や推論生成プロセスに関して，（１）推論生成は，読んでいるテキストの結束性の度合い（高低）に影響を受けること，（２）結束性が推論生成に与える効果は，読み手の個人差要因（英語熟達度，読解時の情報への注意配分の傾向）と交互的に作用することが明らかになった。他にも，（３）対象学習者のレベルが異なるテキストにおけるテキストの結束性の度合いが変化していることや，（４）テキストジャンルと結束性操作が交互的に読み手の理解に影響する可能性を明らかにすることができた。こうした研究成果は，オンライン公開予定の博士論文にまとめた。また，日本人英語学習者の読解時のプロセスに関する研究を国内学会にて発表し，査読あり論文として採択された。

This study focuses on the integration of information and relational explicitness in the text, and on the identification of inference generation among Japanese English learners. Research applications include the establishment of a program for the measurement of EyeLink's vision in English language learners 'learning and the analysis of EyeLink's vision in English language learners' learning. In the previous year, the company introduced a new type of infectious disease in the third year, and the original plan was to measure the visual field. The purpose of the study is to achieve the objectives of the study. In particular, in 2003, the Japanese English language learner's understanding and inference generation were discussed. He said,(3) the end of the class for the image learner,(4) the end of the class operation, the interaction of the hand understanding, the possibility of understanding. The results of this research are published in the public domain. Japanese English learners 'understanding of the language and the related issues are discussed in the paper.
