語順が子供の解釈に与える影響について研究を行った。特に、我々が日常生活で使用する言語表現における語順は情報構造によって決まる傾向にあることに着目し、子供が二重目的語構文を解釈する際に、語順と情報構造にどのような影響を受けるかを調べる実験を行なった。実験結果の分析は、現在行なっているところである。また、子供の比較構文の解釈におけるエラーについての理解を深めるため、「AはBより１０センチ長い」のような形容詞を含む比較構文と、「AはBより10センチ上にいる」のような場所を表す後置詞表現を含んだ比較構文の解釈を比較し、子供は比較構文を構成する要素の語彙範疇の違いに関わらず、大人と異なる解釈をすることを明らかにした。この研究結果は、『横浜市立大学論叢』に "Children’s interpretation of adpositional comparatives in Japanese–Another piece of evidence supporting the linguistic explanation of children’s difficulty with comparative subtraction– "（査読付き）として発表した。また、語彙範疇の異なる比較構文の解釈を、同じメカニズムを用いてどのように説明するかについて論じた論文も投稿し、現在審査中である。
