项目摘要

令和4年度は，昨年度までと同様に本研究課題の遂行に必要な史料・データの収集を進めるとともに，収集済史料・データに基づく分析を進めた。令和3年度まではCOVID-19の影響で史料調査を実施できていなかったが，令和4年度より史料調査を再開した。それにより成果を出せる見込みが立ちつつあり，2022年7月にパリで開催されたWorld Economic History Congressにおいて中間報告を実施した。研究代表者と研究分担者が実施した作業は以下の通りである。研究代表者（前田）は，東京・大阪・熊本の月次先物米価データと大阪の内地米・朝鮮米現物価格データを作成・分析し，朝鮮米移入拡大が内地米穀市場の米価形成に及ぼしたインパクトについて考察した。そして，"Distinctive pricing in the metropole of the integrated empire's economy: Japan's central and local rice markets, 1900-1939"と題した論文を作成した。研究分担者（三科）は，植民地地域で必要とされる人材開発を目標として設立された拓殖大学の事例に基づき，20世紀前半の本邦の対外的な拡張と，それに伴う植民地地域への人材供給に果たした高等教育機関の役割について，検討をおこなった。研究分担者（谷ヶ城）は，WEHCにおける本研究課題のパネル報告の討論者を担当した。そのほかに，本研究課題と関連の深い学術書3冊の書評(竹内祐介著『帝国日本と鉄道輸送』；堀内義隆著『緑の工業化』；久保文克著『戦前日本製糖業の史的研究』）を執筆した。研究分担者（山本）は，帝国日本における満洲炭流通の分析に必要な史料（香川大所蔵）の収集・分析を進めた。研究分担者（井奥）はWEHCパネル報告で討論者として上記各研究に対するコメントをした。

"Distinctive pricing in the metro pole of the integrated empire's economy: Japan's central and local rice markets, 1900-1939" The research partners (three branches), the necessity of human resources development in the planting area, the purpose of establishing a colonized university, the foundation of the country's foreign relations in the first half of the 20th century, and the results of human resources supply in the planting area, the service of higher education institutions, and the discussion of the case. The research contributor (Tani Castle) is responsible for the discussion of the WEHC report on this research topic. This research topic is related to three volumes of academic books (Takeuchi Yukai,"Imperial Japan and Railway Transportation"; Horiuchi Yoshitaka,"Green Industrialization"; Kubo Fumiki,"A Study of the History of the Sugar Industry in Japan"). The author of the study (Yamamoto), the analysis of the circulation of carbon in the empire of Japan, collected and analyzed the necessary historical materials (Kagawa Daisuke).
