本研究の目的は、学習者の感性の涵養とコミュニケーション能力の育成を図るための俳句指導のあり方を国際的視野のもとに、理論的・実証的に探究するところにある。本年度はその研究の３年目にあたる。ただし長期にわたる新型コロナウイルス拡大の影響により、当初計画していた海外渡航による実証的な俳句指導の開発は困難な状況となっている。今年度は、そうした現状を背景に理論的側面から国際的俳句指導の研究の充実を図った。具体的には以下の二つのことに取り組んだ。1．「創作」領域の研究動向と俳句指導研究の現状の整理昨年度は、この10年における「創作」およびその指導に関する研究動向を詳細に検討した。今年度は、その結果を（1）俳句指導に関する研究、(2）短歌（連歌・連句）指導に関する研究、（3）詩（連詩）指導に関する研究、(4）物語指導に関する研究、（5）その他の文種の指導に関する研究の五点から整理し、『国語科教育学研究の成果と展望Ⅲ』の「「創作」指導に関する研究の成果と展望」にまとめ公表した。「創作」領域の指導研究はグローバルな視野を取り入れながら多角的かつ精力的に展開されており、この10年は「創作」指導の研究史において大きな飛躍をとげた時期であったこと、その中で、俳句の分野は、言語や文化の異なる学習者同士の交流（創作と鑑賞）に踏み込んだ国際的な共同研究が進められていること、海外においても従来とは異なった俳句の教材価値を探る研究が行われていることなどを明らかにした。2．国際的俳句指導の理論の構築昨年度は、俳句に親しむための国際的俳句指導の内容を検討した。今年度は、我が国で行われている俳句に関する指導法が、国際的な俳句指導法としてどこまで転用できるかのか、その可能性を具体的に探った。
