项目摘要

未就学児の文字認識を促進するプログラムとして、歌と身体活動を通じた音韻意識（モーラ抽出）の集団指導を開発・実装した。音韻意識（モーラ抽出）の獲得を促す歌と身体活動を作成し、幼稚園・保育園のクラス担任が、1日1回5分程度の指導を行うプログラムを開発した。このプログラムを国内の幼稚園5ヶ所に実装し、計140名程度の4-6歳児に指導を行った。指導と並行して複数回の効果測定を行ったところ、5歳児学年（就学前年）では、モーラ抽出を獲得できた児が1学期から2学期にかけて有意に増加し、文字認識は1学期から3学期にかけて、目標（ひらがな清音：45文字中、40文字以上）を達成した児が有意に増加した。また、個々の対象児における、抽出と清音の通過時点を検討したところ、過半数の児でモーラ抽出の獲得が文字認識の達成よりも先行、ないし文字認識と同時であった。4歳児学年（就学前々年）についても、モーラ抽出の成績向上が認められ、学年末に抽出獲得を達成した児の割合が、本指導プログラムを受けたことのない5歳児と同等であった。これらの結果から、未就学児の文字認識を促進する指導プログラムは、5歳児・4歳児の両学年でモーラ抽出の獲得を促すことが示された。また、5歳児では抽出の通過が文字認識に先行ないし同時であったことから、4歳児学年ないし5歳児学年の前半に本指導プログラムを実施し、モーラ抽出を先に高めることで、文字認識の獲得を促進し、読み困難を集団単位で予防できる可能性が示された。
