项目摘要

本研究は、牧畜民が特定の場所で共有する禁忌に着目し、現地の論理に基づいた土地の分類の仕方を検討するものである。ナミビア北西部では近年、干ばつを契機に発生した放牧地争いが高等裁判に発展し、法的に権限を与えられた伝統的権威が、近代的な法制度に基づく土地区分を根拠に追い出しを正当化している。一方で、人々の生活空間の中には禁忌が存在する聖なる場所があり、独自の土地の分類の仕方が存在する。本研究は、この土地区分と土地分類のズレに着目し、人々の日常的な行為と土地への表象過程の検証を通して、内部の論理から土地争いを再検討することを目的としている。最終年度となる本年度は、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響を受け、物理的な移動を伴う調査などが実施できなかったため、計画を一部修正し、成果公表に向けた執筆および翻訳作業に徹した。具体的には、上述の目的のもとで、昨年度の現地調査の成果を踏まえて、聖なる場所と係争の場所との関係を検証した。その結果、1）通常は先住権問題において焦点になることの多い、聖なる場所をはじめとしたいわゆる「宗教的」な土地との関係が、土地資源をめぐる争いにおいて排他的な主張の根拠になりにくいこと、2）流動的に生じる聖なる場所は、かつての戦い、すなわち19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけての近隣民族による略奪行為やドイツによるジェノサイドといった、外部者による暴力的な襲撃との関連が示唆されることが明らかになった。つまり、可視的ではない聖なる場所は、身体実践を通してそのときその場の一点において生成され、係争地と部分的に重なりながらも、異なる次元において人々のあいだで認識されていると結論づけた。本研究の以上の成果は博士論文として結実し、博士（学術）の学位を授与された。英文での成果公表に関しては、現在準備をすすめている。

This study discusses the taboos, local logic, and official classification of land shared by livestock and people in specific places. In recent years, there has been an opportunity for the development of grazing land disputes, the development of higher judges, the development of legal restrictions, the development of traditional prestige, and the development of modern legal systems. The results of the field survey conducted last year were verified based on the specific objectives and the relationship between the locations and the system. The result is that 1) the problem of pre-existence usually arises from the focus of many, holy places, religious relations, land resources, disputes, exclusive claims, roots, 2) the flow of life, holy places, From the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the neighboring nations were attacked by violent attacks and connections.
