本年度は、コロナ禍が収まりつつあることにかんがみ、2023年1月にニーム市文書館において、資料の存否確認・チェック、および必要な資料の複製をおこなった。これにより、本研究課題に関連する資料のうち、同文書館が所蔵するものについては、ほぼ半分が確認できた。同文書館訪問に至るまでの時期については、既存研究のチェックを継続した。その結果、移民の統合に関してしばしば使われる「サラダボウル型」と「るつぼ型」という二つの類型について、ニーム市内に存在する「マス・デュ・マング（Mas du Mingue）」地区については、前者が該当し、それゆえに移民の統合がスムーズに進んだのではないか、という仮説をえた。すなわち、これまでしばしばフランスの移民統合政策は、移民出身地の文化をフランスの文化と融合させる「るつぼ」をモチーフとし、これに対してカナダなどでは、移民出身地の文化を尊重するかたちで多様な文化が併存する「サラダボウル」型の移民統合政策がすすめられてきたといわれている。しかしながら、マス・デュ・マング地区においては、同地区を対象とする都市政策文書において、むしろ「サラダボウル」型に近い移民統合が目指されているような文章が散見されるのである。同文書館訪問後は、上記仮説を検証するべく、同文書館所蔵資料の分析を進めている。また、同地区を対象として社会文化活動をおこなっているボランティア団体「カルティエ・リーブル（Quartier Libre）」の代表とコンタクトをとることができたので、今後はオーラル・ヒストリーを実践する可能性が生じてきた。
