项目摘要

本研究の目的は、自助グループにおけるスピリチュアリティと組織論との関係を参加的アクションリサーチによって明らかにすることである。その自助グループとしては、自死遺族のグループと、断酒会を研究対象としている。それぞれに以下のように進展あるいは変化があった。まず自死遺族の自助グループであるが、新しく発足する過程に関与することができた。自死遺族の自助グループは、すでに全国的に活動を広げているが、自助グループに集いたいという遺族の願いはあるものの、いまのところ組織的な広がりは限られている。今年度は、全国自死遺族連絡会が、行政と連携を持ちながら、新しくグループの発足を支援するという場に研究者としてかかわることができた。まだ組織として自立している段階ではないが、関係する行政職員や、全国自死遺族連絡会代表者にインタビューできた。組織とスピリチュアリティとの関係を視野に入れつつ、今後の発展に注目したい。断酒会については、長く会にかかわった方へのインタビュー記録を分析した。特に英訳することによって、海外の研究者の意見を聞くことができた。また、海外滞在中は同じくアルコール依存症者の自助グループであるアルコホーリクス・アノニマスのリーダーにインタビューし、またミーティングに出席し、観察することができた。また海外滞在中は、スピリチュアリティではなく、認知行動療法の考え方を核とした依存症者とその支援者を中心とした市民団体の研修にも参加したが、その社会では、現実としてスピリチュアリティという概念を抜きにして活動している依存症者の自助グループは組織的な広がりを見せておらず、ここでもスピリチュアリティと組織との重要なつながりを確認できた。断酒会のスピリチュアリティについては、その理念の拠点でもあった断酒道場の活動継続が、コロナ禍もあり、非常に困難になっていた。
