项目摘要

学習者の現在の言語運用能力（統語処理，および，語彙の選択能力）に合わせたコンテンツをシステムから提供するために，それぞれの具体的な発達段階を，実験を行い変化を分析することで明らかにした．統語処理については，統語処理に焦点化した練習によって，基礎的な構造に副詞類のついた構造をひとつづきでスピーキングできるようになること，その効果は単なる音読練習よりも高いことを明らかにした．この結果より，学習者のひとつづきのスピーキングが不完全な構造なのか，基礎的構造にとどまっているのか，基礎的な構造に副詞類の付いた構造まで発達しているのかで提供するコンテンツを変える必要性を確認した．方略的能力（語彙の選択能力として当初捉えていたもの）については，実際に使用する具体的な発達段階を明らかにし，それをシステムで使用する教材や学習者へ提供するフィードバックへ反映させることを目指して，方略を使用している具体的な行動と，方略的能力の測定方法として従来用いられていた質問紙調査や，学習方略との関連性を調査した．その結果，前者については，方略的能力を実際に使用する行動と，質問紙調査のスコアには関連性がないことが明らかとなり，質問紙調査では方略的能力を十分に捉えきれておらず，実際に方略を使用できるか否かを測定する必要性を明らかにした．後者については，方略を使用できている学習者と出来ていない学習者の日常的な学習方略の違いを調査したところ，単語や文法などの言語知識が十分でなくとも方略をよく使用している学習者は，自身の英語アウトプットに対して翻訳ソフト等を使用することで第三者からのフィードバックを得ることを日常の学習の中で行っていることが明らかとなった．これらの結果を元に，方略の実際の使用状況と日常的な学習方略によってシステムから学習者へ提供すべきフィードバックの設計を整理した．
