项目摘要

研究代表者・分担者による検討において、アジア太平洋戦争後に成立した産業集積、岐阜アパレル産地形成期につき解明されつつある点は次の通りである。岐阜既製服（アパレル）産地は、戦後復興期に急激に成長し、1960年代には東京、大阪に次ぐ位置に到達した。この成長は、おもに東北・九州・北海道など日本周辺部の販路開拓によると推定され、背景には原料や労働力などの生産面、既製服という言わば新規商品流通の面とともに、その製品特性（ヤミ市を出自とするところからもたらされた）、敗戦後の社会環境があずかっていた。これらの諸点は、移民の定着過程（帰還移民の再定着過程）研究、また現在の中国など東アジアの初期産業集積研究との関連付けられる。上記を検証のため、令和４年度は引き続き岐阜への引揚者資料（国立公文書館所蔵「引揚者在外事実調査表」）の分析をすすめ、この成果を拙稿「岐阜繊維問屋町事業者と戦後引揚者の人的系譜―三つの名簿から―」（『郷土研究岐阜　創立50周年記念論集』2023年刊行予定）にまとめた。他方、コロナ状況等の諸事情で現地図書館（岐阜県図書館、岐阜市立図書館）調査および現地当事者への追加ヒアリングが遅滞したため、分析対象の比重をやや変更した。アパレル流通経路に関する研究史整理をすすめるとともに、地元業界紙『東海繊維経済新聞』の内容分析に注力した。同紙はたんなる業界紙ではなく、ヤミ市後継の地元業界団体（岐阜問屋町）に組み込まれた「機関紙」的存在で、紙面には問屋町執行部の方針とプロセス、その意思決定にいたる産地＝岐阜問屋町商人の声、彼らが求める情報等が満載されている。そこでこのデータベース化作業を通じ、岐阜産地事業者の行動（内部の動静、販路・生産面における開拓の実態）を検証し、さらに研究分担者とともに、岐阜の事業者が先行的海外進出を実現した要因とその限界について展望する作業をすすめている。
