本研究は外国語における産出語彙テストの妥当性検証を目的とする。多肢選択式などの単語の認知知識を測定する受容語彙テストは数多く存在しているが、外国語の語彙を産出する知識（産出語彙知識）の測定を目的としたテストの開発・妥当性検証はあまり行われていない。２０２２年度では、予備調査を実施した。特に、産出語彙を測定するために広く使われてきた「短文レベル空欄補充型産出課題」（gap-filling task)に焦点を絞って調査を実施した。空欄補充課題は1999年にThe Productive Vocabulary Levels Test (PVLT) (Laufer & Nation, 1999)が開発されてから広く使われてきたがその妥当性を体系的に検証した研究は少ない。本予備調査では特に、語彙産出を誘発するために使用されてきた方法２点の影響の検証に絞った：（１）単語の頭文字の提示（例：opp____ [機会」);（２）文脈の提示（例：I'm glad we had this ______ (機会) to talk.)。本調査では約１００名の日本人英語学習者が参加した。すべての参加者が上記の（１）と（２）の語彙産出課題に加え、（３）通常の日英翻訳課題（例：機会＝＞______)を受験した。（１）～（３）のテストの成績を比較・分析することで、どの程度「頭文字の提示」と「文脈の提示」が産出語彙テストの結果に影響を与えるのかを分析する予定である。本研究結果は日本における英語語彙指導・評価に教育的な示唆を与えることが期待される。外国語におけるコミュニケーション力を育成するためには、受容スキル（読解・聴解）だけでなく、産出スキル（話す・書く）の獲得が必要となる。そのため、言語産出スキルに必要な語彙知識の適切な評価のためにも、妥当性・信頼性の高い産出語彙テスト作成の第一歩となることが期待される。

The purpose of this study is to identify the appropriateness of the output words. The participants of the seminar were invited to participate in (1) and (2) word production topics,(3) general Japanese translation topics (e.g., opportunity =>____). (1)~(3) Comparison and analysis of the results of words and phrases, the degree of the first word prompt, the context prompt, the influence of the output words and phrases on the results, and the analysis of the predetermined. The results of this study are as follows: Japanese English word guide, evaluation, education, instruction and expectation. Foreign language is the language of choice. It is the language of choice. The first step in the production of necessary words is the evaluation of their appropriateness and reliability.
