项目摘要

本研究は欧州におけるメディアシステムの収れんと分岐について政治制度の配置構成とその変化から問うものである。本年度は、その時間的変化パターンを分析するために用いる質的比較分析（QCA）の方法論的な検討を進めている。QCAは複数条件の組み合わせ（配置構成）を網羅的に扱い、その必要条件性や十分条件性をブール代数や集合論を基に把握する、従来とは位相の異なる分析手法として注目を浴びている。ただしQCAは各事例の質的特徴（配置構成）を体系的に他の事例と比較することを念頭に方法論的な開発が進んでおり、事例内の時間的変化を捉える手法として開発が進んでいない。そのため従来のQCAでは、本研究が対象とする欧州諸国の比較における、「各国内で時間的な変動のある条件」と「各国内では変化しないが国別で違いのある条件」の二種類の条件を切り分けられないという難点があった。この問題を踏まえて、複数条件および結果の2時点の差分を取り、時間的変化条件およびその配置構成に注目するTime-differencing QCAの開発を進めている。この差分をとることで得られる特徴について、2022年10月にオランダで行われたQCAと時間に関するワークショップ（Time-in-QCA (TiQ) International Workshop）で研究報告を行い、フィードバックを受けた。また差分をとって変化を観測する際のファジィな特徴をいかに反映させるかについて、2022年12月にはスイスで行われたQCAの専門家のワークショップ（International QCA Expert Workshop）で研究報告を行っている。これらワークショップで時間的変化を捉える分析手法Time-differencing QCAを検討してきたことは、本研究で取り組むメディアシステムの収れんと分岐のパターンを捉える分析の土台作りと位置付けられる。

This study focuses on the structure of political system in Europe. This year, we will review the methodology of qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) in the context of time series analysis. QCA is composed of complex conditions, necessary conditions, algebraic set theory and analysis methods. The qualitative characteristics (configuration) of each case of QCA, the comparison of other cases of the system, the development of methodology, the change of time within the case, and the method of development. This study focuses on the comparison of European countries,"the conditions of time change in each country" and "the conditions of time change in each country". This problem is caused by complex conditions and results of 2-time difference, time-varying conditions and configurations, and time-varying QCA development. This difference is due to the characteristics of QCA (TiQ) International Workshop in October 2022. In December 2022, the International QCA Expert Workshop conducted a research report on the development of the QCA. This study is based on the analysis of the time-varying QCA of the time series.
