本研究における活動と成果は以下の通りである.1,鬱病認知モデルの展望に関する検討 これまで鬱病認知モデルとしては,ATBeckのシェマ理論が知られていた.1990年代後半よりWatts,MacLeod,&Mathews(1988)の提唱した総合モデルが多くの研究で言及され,検討されている.多くの実験結果は総合モデルの予測に合致することが明らかになった.しかし問題点もある.それらを説明する新たなモデルを提唱した.2,自動思考現象測定のための装置開発 鬱病における自動思考現象を測定するために,単なるボイス・キーではなく,発話内容をテキストデータ化して記録する装置の作成を試みた.残念ながら装置が完全に動作するには至らなかった.ただしデータ取り込みの目処は立ち,実際にソフトウェア開発を行った.3,自由連想の検討 自動思考と類似した自由連想に関する検討を行い,その性質をデータ・概念駆動型処理の観点から明らかにした.その検討過程において(1)自由連想課題にも分類が必要なこと,(2)鬱の影響があったと報告された自由連想課題は概念駆動型処理の特徴を持つことを裏付ける結果,(3)自由連想におけるカテゴリー教示の効果があまりないこと,を明らかにした.4,モデルの実験的検討 鬱病モデルを実験的に検討するには,至らなかった.ただし鬱病モデルの文献的検討の結果,統合モデルの重要性が指摘され,その検討のためには,自由連想現象を検討する必要があることが示唆された.このモデルの検討は本研究の中心であったが,2年間の期限では,その周辺的検討(展望,装置開発,現象の基礎メカニズム)で終わってしまった.本研究の目的から検討すると,2年間に得られた結果は基礎的なものと評価される.今後,鬱病モデルを自由連想課題によって実験的に検討していく基盤は確立され,今後の検討に十分役立つだろう.
