<本研究の目的>テーマシラバスに基づく「聞く」活動中心の外国語活動の実践が,中学校英語科へどのような効果をもたらすことができるのかを明らかにすることである。<研究方法>テーマ(トピック)を基にしたカリキュラムによる外国語活動の授業実践,及びその分析や児童への意識調査から中学校英語科への効果の有効性を検証する。具体的には,以下の方法で行う。(1)テーマ(トピック)を基にしたカリキュラムによる外国語活動の授業実践(4月～3月)を行う。(2)児童英検(SILVER)を受験し,聞く力の客観的測定をする。さらに関心・意欲・態度の調査を実施する。(3)外国語活動に関する児童の意識調査を実施する。(文部科学省研究開発校実施のアンケートを活用)(4)前年度までの同調査(2),(3)の結果と本研究での調査結果を比較しその変容を考察する。(小学校外国語活動の授業に対する意識,英語に関する興味・関心などの意欲面等における変容を考察。実践の結果が総じてどのような効果をもたらしたのか分析し,中学校英語科への効果を明らかにする。)〈研究成果〉・第6学年児童の聞く力を測定し,「語句」「会話」「文章」「文字」の4つの分野別正答率で昨年度(第5学年時の結果)と比較した結果,4分野とも正答率が上昇した。特に「語句」「文字」について大きな伸びが見られた。アウトプットに重きを置かず,意味ある文脈の中で「聞く」体験を十分に行う外国語活動の実践の積み重ねは,結果として聞く力の向上へつながることが示された。・意識調査の昨年度からの変容結果からは,「英語の授業の楽しさ」「英語を聞く楽しさ」「英語が話せる事への期待」「外国のことへの興味」等において高い意欲が維持されていることがわかった。また,「中学校での英語の授業への期待」においては,高い学習動機づけの結果が見られ,中学校英語科へのプラスの効果が示された。・「文字」の学習についての高い興味・関心から,小学校における「文字」との出会わせ方について更に実践を通した研究の必要性を感じる。

The purpose of this study is to study the English language activities in middle schools. <Research Methods> Based on the teaching practice of foreign language activities, and the analysis of children's awareness survey, the effectiveness of English teaching in middle schools. The results of the practice are summarized in the following paragraphs: Results of the study: In the 6th academic year, children's listening ability was measured, and the correct response rate of "sentence","conversation","article" and "text" was increased in the previous year (the result in the 5th academic year). Special "sentence""text" It means that the context of the text is very close to the body of the text, and the accumulation of foreign language activities is very close to the text, and the result is that the text is strong and upward. The results of the survey showed that the desire to maintain English teaching, English listening, English speaking, English expectation, foreign interest and so on was high. In addition, the results of English teaching in middle schools are shown in the following paragraphs. The study of "writing" is a matter of high interest and concern, and the necessity of studying "writing" in primary schools is a matter of concern.
