スポーツに関わるボランティアの活動意識の差異をを明らかにし、類型化を試みることを目的として、3つの全国レベルのスポーツイベントにおけるボランティア参加者を対象に質問紙法による調査を実施し、466名(有効回収率54.8%)のサンプルを得た。データは、まず参加動機項目を因子分析し、「ボランティア」、「自己成長」、「専門技能の開発」、「レクリエーション」、「社会貢献」、「他律参加」、「報酬」、「参加者(選手)支援交流」の8因子を抽出し、因子得点を算出した。そして活動意識(自主的参加・義務的参加」による参加動機の差異を明らかにするために因子別にt検定を行った。その結果、ボランティア因子、自己成長因子、専門技能開発因子、参加者(選手)支援交流因子の4因子において自主的参加の方が有意(p〈0.001)に得点が高く、他律参加因子では有意(p〈0.001)に得点が低かった。さらに活動意識に関連する参加動機要因を明らかにするため判別分析を用いて分析した結果、参加動機8要因による判別率は74.03%であった。また「他律参加」、「参加者支援・交流」、「報酬」の3要因が有意(p〈0.001)な規定要因として抽出され、自主的参加者は義務的参加者に比べ、他律的参加でなく、参加者(選手)への支援・交流を求め、報酬を望んだ動機による参加ではないと解釈された。以上のことから、スポーツイベントボランティアの参加動機における活動意識の差異が明らかにされ類型化における活動意識の有用性が示唆された。

The survey was conducted on 466 participants (with an effective return rate of 54.8%). Factor analysis of 8 factors including "participation motivation","self-growth","development of individual skills","social contribution","heteronomical participation","compensation" and "participant (player) support exchange" were extracted and factor points were calculated. Activity awareness (autonomous participation·voluntary participation) is the motivation for participation. The four factors including the result, the self-growth factor, the door skill development factor, the participant (player) support communication factor, the independent participation factor, the intentional participation factor (p <0.001), the heteronomical participation factor, the intentional participation factor (p <0.001), and the intentional participation factor (p <0.001) were both high and low. The results of discriminant analysis showed that the discriminant rate of 8 important factors of participation motivation was 74.03%. The three main reasons for "heteronomical participation,""participant support and exchange," and "compensation" are intentional (p <0.001), voluntary participant, heteronomical participation, participant (player) support and exchange, and compensation. The difference of activity consciousness between the above two types of motivation shows the usefulness of activity consciousness
