项目摘要

本研究では、日本人英語学習者がインターネット上の英語を読む際に、どのような情報を必要しているかを調査し、オンライン辞書を試作し、オンライン語学学習ツール開発のための基礎的な研究を行った。●研究実績(1)英語WWWページの収集:名古屋大学及び国内の大学の大学生が各自のホームページからリンクを張っている英語のページを調査し,1,000ページを収集しファイルして保存した(約2MB)。57,106行、326,849単語、2,153,141文字であった。(2)語彙頻度分析:上記ファイルを頻度分析し、アルファベット順、頻度順のリストを作成した。異なり語数は24,107語であった。(3)辞書ファイルの作成:語彙頻度の多い単語上位1万語に日本語訳をつけた。これは、総単語数中の93%に該当し、頻度が一回の単語(その多くは固有名詞)10,781語(3.3%)を除くと、事実上約96.4%の単語に日本語訳をつけたことになる。(4)辞書検索プログラムの作成:本研究専用WWWサーバをたちあげ、CGIを使い、Per1により辞書検索プログラムを作成した。(5)使用実験:実際に学生に利用させ、日本語訳の不十分さと、例文の必要性が判明した。日本語訳の充実は、試作開発である本研究の範囲を越えるので今後の課題とする。(6)例文検索プログラムの作成:(1)で作成したファイルの中から例文を検索表示するプログラムをCGIを使い、Perlで作成した。(7)インターネット用日本人英語学習者向けオンライン辞書の試作完成●研究結果日本人英語学習者が読みたいと思う英語のWWWページ中の96.4%の単語の日本語訳が出る辞書検索プログラム、及び、その単語が実際に使用されている例文を表示する例文検索プログラムを統合し、目的とするオンライン辞書の試作を完成させた。本プログラムは研究代表者のホームページよりインターネット上に公開されている。

This study aims to investigate the necessity of information on English language development among Japanese English learners, and to conduct a preliminary study on the development of English language learning. Research Results (1) English World Wide Web Collection: Nagoya University and other universities in Japan, students of their own home page selection, English page selection survey, 1,000 page collection (about 2MB). 57,106 lines, 326,849 plain words, 2,153,141 words. (2)Word Frequency Analysis: Write down the word frequency analysis and create the word frequency sequence. The number of different languages is 24,107. (3)Dictionaries: Frequency of words, single language, upper level, 10,000 words, Japanese language, etc. 93% of the total number of Japanese words are used in this context, and the frequency of Japanese words is 10,781 words (3.3%). (4)This study uses WWW, CGI and Per1 to create dictionary search lists. (5)Use of the language: student use of the language, lack of Japanese language, necessity of the text. The scope of this study is to explore the future of Japanese language.
