项目摘要

本研究の目的は、プレイヤーが戦略的に退出できる繰り返しゲームモデルでの均衡の集合とその性質、さらにそのモデルの応用についての研究をすることであった。具体的には、プレイヤーの退出のメカニズムをいくつか考え(特に97年は外部からオファーがあるというモデル)、達成可能な均衡の集合との厳密な対応関係を解明していくことであった。98年度は以下の2つの研究を行った。1。昨年のモデルを契約理論に応用し “Efficiency of Contract and Efficiency of Quits: A Dynamic Contract Model with Endogenous Turnover"という論文にまとめた。2。外部オファーだけでなく、一般のマッチングを考えてパートナー関係を自由に解消できる長期ゲームモデルを考えた。これにより、ゲームからの退出が外生的な要因でなく、さらに大きなゲームの中での内生的なものになり、モデルを「閉じる」ことができた。新しいモデルにおいてはある種のフォーク定理が成立することがわかった。この結果を “Endogenous Partnerships"というタイトルでスタンフォード大学、コペンハーゲン大学のセミナーで報告、フィードバックを得た。現在、論文にまとめるようさらに研究を進めている。2年間でかなりのことがわかった。まず、戦略的な退出が可能なゲームにおける均衡はかなり制約され、退出できるプレイヤーのみならず、退出できないプレイヤーの利得も高くないと長期的な関係の均衡にならないことがわかった。これを協力の発生ともみなせると思う。また、このモデルの応用範囲も広く、通常の契約モデルでは報酬のタイミングは重要ではなかったが、退出の可能性を考えるとタイミングが重要になるなど、これまでの契約モデルと異なる結論が出てきた。いずれも、独創的な研究成果を出せたと思う。
