本年度は、(1)自動車部品産業の近年の動向に関する資料収集とその検討、(2)自動車用鋼材をめぐる自動車企業と鉄鋼企業との取引関係の聞き取り調査を2本の柱として研究を進めてきた。(1)では、昨年度アメリカ合衆国で収集した資料を整理するとともに、12月10日から21日まで再びアメリカ合衆国に渡って資料収集を行った。資料の内容は主に自動車部品産業における技術開発とそれによる国際提携、国際的M&Aの進展に関するものである。それらは昨年度得られた知見を補完するものである。(2)では、まず8月に予備調査として日本の鉄鋼企業への聞き取りを行い、本調査として12月10日から21日までアメリカ合衆国に渡ってUSスチール社とナショナル・スチール社から聞き取りを行った。この調査はアメリカ鉄鋼企業の自動車用薄板の取引に関するもので、これまでの自動車部品取引の研究をさらに自動車用素材としての鉄鋼に延長したものである。過去自動車部品取引に関して行った調査と比較するなら、自動車用薄板を供給する鉄鋼企業は一方で技術的主導性が高く高度な品質と仕様を保障する能力を評価されつつも、他方では相互の差別化を固定しにくく常にサプライヤー同士の競争を強く組織されていると見ることができそうである。以上の知見については、鉄鋼市場全体の中での自動車用薄板の位置を明らかにする作業を経た上で、来年度前半にディスカッション・ペーパーまたは論文の形でまとめる予定である。

This year, we conducted a survey on (1) data collection and research on recent trends in the automotive parts industry,(2) research on the relationship between automotive steel companies and iron and steel companies, and (3) research on this topic. (1)The data collection of the United States was organized on December 10 and 21. The content of the data is mainly related to the technical development of the automobile parts industry, international promotion, and international M&A progress. I'm sorry, but I'm sorry. (2)In August, a survey was prepared to investigate the impact of the Japanese steel industry on the United States. On December 10, the survey was conducted on December 21. This investigation is aimed at the research on the selection of automobile parts and materials for iron and steel enterprises. In the past, steel and iron enterprises have been evaluating the leading technology of one party, high quality and quality assurance, and the ability of the other party to differentiate from each other, fixing the competition between the same people and strengthening the organization. The above findings indicate that the position of automatic vehicle sheet in the whole iron and steel market is clearly determined in the first half of the year.
