国語科書写のカリキュラムに関する仮説「<書写技能の系統的学習の系列>と<国語科の他領域(「読むこと」「書くこと」)の学習との関連を図る学習の系列>の二系列相互を有機的に関連させた形で構造化することが,国語科における言語の学習としての書写の位置づけを明確にし,かつ言語生活に生きる書写力の育成にとって有効である。」をもとに実施した昨年度の予備的検証の結果を踏まえて,カリキュラム第一次案を作成した。カリキュラム第一次案は,現行の小学校学習指導要領に示された国語科書写の時間枠の中で行うことを想定しているため,従来の<書写技能の系統的学習の系列>に充てる時間数が減少すること及び技能習得の継続性に時間的ブランクが生じることなどから,技能習得面でのマイナス傾向が予想された。そのため、学習内容のいっそうのスリム化と朝学習の時間の活用を工夫しながら第一次案に若干の修正を加え,それをもとに技能習得への影響について部分的検証を行った。その結果、国語科書写の中心のねらいである硬筆技能の習得に関する大きなマイナス面は認められず,<国語科の他領域(「読むこと」「書くこと」)の学習との関連を図る学習の系列>との二系列の実施は可能であるという感触を得た。カリキュラム第一次案の実施によって,「読むこと」「書くこと」への影響がプラスに表れたかどうかについては,現在分析・整理中である。「読むこと」「書くこと」への影響がプラスに表れた場合は,国語科書写のカリキュラム原案としてまとめる予定であるが,プラスの影響が認められない場合は,再度カリキュラム修正と検証が必要である。
