项目摘要

19年度は,NICTで開発された言語グリッドの非営利運営モデルを検討し,実際に運営を開始した.ステークホルダーには,言語資源提供者,計算資源提供者,言語サービス利用者がいる.この間に立って覚書を締結し,言語グリッドを運営するのが言語グリッド運営組織である.この覚書を作るのに数ヶ月を要した.何より注意しなければならないのは,言語資源提供者への配慮である.言語資源提供者は,無料で提供している資源が誰に使われているのか知りたいと思う.商用目的で使われていないことも確認したい.言語グリッドはこうした要求を満たすように設計されたソフトウェアで,サービスマネージャを通して言語資源の利用状況を知ることができる.つまり,言語グリッドを利用するために覚書があるのではなく,覚書を満たすために言語グリッドが開発されたと思えばよい.言語グリッドの運営組織は京都大学社会情報学専攻が引き受けることになった.2006年12月にオペレーションセンター(http://www.langrid.org/operation/)が開設され運営を始めたばかりであるが,中国科学院,韓国国民大学,DFKI, CNR, Stuttgart大学などの海外の研究機関,国内の大学,NPO,アジア防災センターなどの公的機関が参加している.研究機関から提供された言語資源を用いて,防災,教育,医療の各方面で異文化コラボレーション活動が始まっている。
