本課題に関する前2年間の調査、研究を通して明らかになったのは,ポスト工業化に伴う青年期のトランジッション(移行)の困難に対して,デンマークでは若者の「活性化」政策によって,問題への対処がおおむね成功裏に行われたという事実であった.その成功は,今日,「フレックシキュリティ」のデンマーク・モデルとして注目されつつある.デンマーク生産学校(プロダクション、スクール)は,いわばその政策を最底辺から支える制度であるが,その存在は,これまでほとんど日本で知られていなかった.2年間の調査、研究を基に,とりあえずの成果としてまとめたのが,論文「社会的包摂,フレックシキュリティ,デンマーク生産学校」である(脱稿は昨年9月上旬).この論文では,デンマーク生産学校の意義に関して,もっぱら文献資料に依拠せざるをえなかったが,今年度のデンマーク調査(9月中旬から2週間ほど)では,実際に生産学校を見学し,校長等にインタビュウを行うことができた.大都市コペンハーゲン郊外のロスキレ生産学校,小さな地方都市コソーアの生産学校,地方の中核都市オーデンセの生産学校の3校である.それぞれの立地によって,学校の様子は大きく異なるものであった.全般的に見れば,新自由主義化が進行中のデンマーク社会にあって,いずれの生産学校も転機を迎えているようであった.とりわけ都市部の生産学校ほど,大きな困難を抱えていた.一方,コソーアでは,時代の流れを踏まえた生産学校の新たな在り方をめざす実験に踏み出そうとしていた.以上の調査結果を踏まえて,転機のなかのデンマーク生産学校について論考をまとめることが残された課題となる.
