本年度は平成20年度に行ったフィンランド、及び英国における現地調査の結果を報告書としてまとめた。この報告書には、フィンランドの学校教育現場における国語教育と英語教育の実態や日本の教育との比較分析が行われている。さらに大学の教員養成課程に在籍する学生のコミュニケーション能力や教育能力の質向上についての理念や提供されているプログラムについて紹介している。フィンランドの現地調査では、英語教科書を入手することができたため、日本の小学校英語活動とフィンランドの英語教育とを学習指導要領を比較しながら、「異文化の描写」という視点から教材分析を行った論文を掲載した。また、英国については母語としての英語教育の課題や近年の言語教育政策が与えた学校教育現場での指導法の改革について考察している。さらに、研究連携者が執筆した「国語」と「英語活動」のティーム・ティーチングの実態を比較した論文も掲載されている。本報告書は、広く小学校教員に配布する予定であり、多くの現職教員にフィンランドと英国における言語教育と目本の外国語教育ど国語教育の相違と、両者を統合的に学習するための示唆を得て欲しいと考えている。20年度は、さらにアクション・リサーチを実施し国語科教育ど英語活動を統合させたContent-Language integrated Learningとしての英語活動の「提案授業」を県内公立小学校の協力を得て実施した。今後は、他教科と言語教育の統合的アプローチや外国語教育と国語教育の相関性についても含め、研究を推進していくことで、より意義のある研究成果が得られると考えている。
