The main results of this research are as follows,1. The Development of environmental education policy after 1970, various kinds of approaches for efficent environmental education in recent years and directions of environmental education in future were analyzed and clarified.2. The actual state of consciousness, attitude and behavior mode of students in Japan was investigated and compared with German students.3. (1)The content and teaching method of environmental education in "Sachunterricht" were investigated.(2)The efficiency of introduction of "Environment History" and "Plan Game" into social studies education and in Germany was clarified.(3)The trends and perspectives of environmental education in mathematics education in Germany were analyzed.4. The data base of German environmental education case was built.etc.

主要研究结果如下：1.对1970年以后环境教育政策的发展、近年来有效开展环境教育的各种途径以及未来环境教育的发展方向进行了分析和阐述.调查了日本学生的意识、态度和行为模式的实际状况，并与德国学生进行了比较.（1）对《Sachunterricht》中环境教育的内容和教学方法进行了调查。（2）阐明了德国社会科教育引入“环境史”和“计划游戏”的成效。（3）分析了德国数学教育中环境教育的发展趋势和前景.建立了德国环境教育案例数据库等。
