项目摘要

本研究課題の当初の研究目的は、微分方程式、差分方程式等の解の大域的構造を解明し、新たな特殊関数を発見することを目指したもので、そのためには、解析的側面のみならず、代数的、幾何的側面からの研究を加味しながら遂行することであった。具体的な問題としては、完全積分可能な偏微分方程式系に対する局所理論の充実をはかると共に、モノドロミー群の解析、接続問題の解明、変換群の理論等の解決である。当該年度において、上記の研究目的に対する十二分な成果が得られた訳ではないが、代表者は従来のこうした研究に対する結果や方法論をまとめ、発表予定の本の大部分を完成することができたし、またアッペルのF_2、H_2に対する接続問題の解明、及び微分方程式の理論確立に有効なコンピュータによる数式処理の研究等の指導に従事することができた。また、分担者原岡は、アクセサリーパラメータを含まない微分方程式系に対するモノドロミー群の研究、及び多変数超幾何関数の“合流"という概念の明確なる定義を発見し、多変数特殊関数の進展に多大なる貢献をなす成果を挙げた。また、他の分担者達も、放物型偏微分方程式に対するハルナック型不等式の研究や、幾何学の理論の確立に、それぞれ成果を挙げている。本科学研究費補助金の交付を受けたことによって、微分方程式論の進展に少しでも貢献できたことを感謝したい。
