项目摘要

国際関係において不満は秩序安定をめぐる重要因子とされてきた。パワー移行論がその代表例であるが、不満の存在そのものは所与とされてきた。どうしたら不満そのものの分布を説明できるのかを国際政治学と社会心理学の協働で取り組むのが本研究プロジェクトである。各国がどういった国際状況に不満を抱き、いかなる条件であれば満足できるのかを実証的に把握することが国際戦争の回避のために欠かせず、しかも現時点で国際政治に関する不満を実証的にはかる試みは、J・レンションらのアメリカでの一連の研究がある程度であり、特に東アジア地域での実証研究は限られており研究が極めて重要になっている。サーベイ実験調査を同時にアジアの複数国で比較可能な形で実施し、いかなる不満がどういった条件で蓄積されるのかを示し、さらに不満を解消する政策対応とは何かを実証的に理解することを目標にしている。上記目標のため、2022年度は2023年度および2024年度に実施する国際比較実験の下準備のため、複数回の打ち合わせのほか、高知工科大学での実験室実験にかかわる機材関係の打ち合わせなどを進めた。また、一部では日本国内のサンプルを対象にしたプレ実験を実施し、どういった質問項目を尋ねるべきかについての基礎的な知見を得た。その際、個人としての脅威や不満の認知の値と、その個人が取り巻く社会全体の脅威や不満の認知を推測する値を比較する有効性を確かめられた。よって国際比較においても同様の質問項目の導入が欠かせないと考えている。また、2023年度より、国際比較実験をするにあたって、韓国やベトナム、台湾といった地域での実験実施に欠かせない研究協力者の確保を進めた。
