この研究は、来たるべき高度技術社会における知識・情報の役割について考察し、それぞれの特質に適した知識・情報の生産・伝達・使用のための社会経済システムを検討し、現存システムの改善と新しい制度の創設に資することを目的とする。(1)社会全体あるいは人類の共通問題に関する知識・情報の生成・伝達・使用について、将来において問題解決の方策が実行に移されるために必要な知的活動の水準を見出すこと。(2)わが国および先進国・アジア諸国における諸分野の知識・情報の生産・伝達・使用に関する統計データを入手し、これらの諸国における知的活動の水準を明らかにすること。(3)わが国の上記各分野における知的活動のための現存制度とその運行状況のサーベイすること。平成4年度は、下記の諸項目に重点をおいた。(4)社会共通の問題(具体的には環境・資源問題)に関する知識・情報ストック(教育水準)の現状を把握すること。このため、(a)最近数年間のわが国および先進諸国における環境問題、途上国問題に関する知識・情報の役割を調査し、(b)東アジア諸国とりわけ中国について、環境・資源問題に関する認識を確立するための諸手段(技術開発・移転、広報、教育活動に必要な資源と時間)について考察した。(5)わガ国および主要先進諸国における知識・情報の生産・伝達・使用の現状の統計データおよび制度の両面からのサーベイ。(a)知識・情報の生産・流通に関する分野別統計データの収集とデータバンクの作成。(i)対象分野:学術研究、技術開発、教育、訓練、広報、出版、放送、通信、広告、組織内情報。(ii)収集データ:知識・情報の「生産額」「価格指数」、労働投入、賃金、資本投入、資本コスト、知識・情報ストック。(b)わが国における知識・情報の生産・伝達制度の現状と問題点のサーベイと望ましい制度の設計。

This research aims at exploring the characteristics of knowledge, information and services in a highly technical society, exploring the ways to improve existing systems and creating new systems. (1)This demonstrates the level of activities necessary for all society to know about the generation, transmission, and use of knowledge and information related to common human problems, and the implementation of future problem-solving strategies. (2)The level of knowledge, production and use of information in various fields in the world is clearly defined. (3)The activities of each branch of the country are known to the existing system and the operation status is reported. In 2004, the following items were recorded: (4)Social common problems (specific environmental and resource problems) related to knowledge and information (educational standards) (a) Knowledge and information research on environmental issues and problems in transit countries in recent years;(b) Knowledge and information research on environmental issues and problems in China in recent years;(c) Research on means (technology development, migration, dissemination, necessary resources and time for educational activities). (5)Knowledge, production, transmission, utilization, statistics, and system development in major advanced countries (a)The production and circulation of knowledge and information are related to the creation of special statistical data sets and data sets. (i)Target areas: academic research, technical development, education, training, advertising, publishing, broadcasting, communications, advertising, organizational information. (ii)Collection data: "production volume" of knowledge and information,"grid index", investment in labor, investment in capital, capital cost, knowledge and information. (b)The present situation of knowledge, information production and communication system in China and the design of system
