今年度は昨年度までの研究成果のとりまとめを行った。主要な目的はそれぞれの班の研究成果をまとめ、あるいは総括班としての研究成果を単行書の形で出版することであった。幸い文部省科研費補助金「研究成果公開促進費」も得て、次の5冊を刊行した。○人類の滅亡と文明の崩壊の回避(本年度実施計画のクロスインパクト方を用いた調査結果の分析)○高度技術社会と人間(本年度実施計画の一般社会人を対象とした単行本の刊行)○Urban Life and Traffic(本年度実施計画の英文単行本シリーズの刊行)○Global Environment and Human Activity(本年度実施計画の英文単行本シリーズの刊行)○Consider the Earth(本年度実施計画の英文単行本シリーズの刊行)なお「高度技術社会のパースペクティブ」(日本学術振興会、学術新書)も1996年度の早い時期に刊行予定である。また研究分担者を中心として(財)統計研究会の助力を得て、外部の人々も加えた研究懇談会をつき1回程度開催した(本年度実施計画の研究成果に基づき、成果の検討、反省、今後の展望などに関する研究討論会を開催)。なお来年度以降も、一般人および学生向けの解説書、教科書的書物を刊行する計画を進めている(出版社の協力を得て実施予定)。

In the coming year, the plan for publishing books and textbooks for readers, ordinary people and students will be advanced (cooperation between publishing houses will be determined).
