项目摘要

本研究の目的は発展途上国における海外直接投資（FDI）が発展途上国の地場系企業に与える影響について考察することにある。先行研究では情報のスピルオーバー効果が途上国の経済発展において重要とされたものの、発展途上国の地場系企業は対価を支払うことなく重要な情報が得られるものと暗黙のうちに仮定されてきた。しかし本研究では、実態調査を踏まえて、重要な情報は無償で得られるものではなく、地場系企業による対価の支払い、投資と学習が必要であることを主張しようとしている。これを踏まえ、2022年度は3点において特に研究の進捗がみられた。第1に、FDI論、国際経営（IB）論におけるスピルオーバーに関する先行研究をサーベイし、FDI論とIB論の理論的統合を試みたことである。こうした試論については学会での報告も行いながら、考察を深めているところである。第2に、タイでの実態調査の準備を進めた点である。コロナ禍によりタイでの調査開始が遅れたものの、2022年度の夏以降、タイへの現地調査を数回行うことができた。具体的な調査準備は、質問票の作成と改善、インターネット上でのアンケートフォーマットの作成、調査対象へのアプローチのためのデータベースの作成、質問票回答の回収率向上のための調査会社の選定と打ち合わせ、であった。これらを踏まえることで、2023年度にはTAPMA会員企業約700社を対象とした質問票調査を実行できるようになった。第3に、タイ自動車産業における地場系企業の創業と外資系との取引関係に焦点を当てた論文執筆である。タイの研究協力者であるChadatan Osatisを2022年度に日本に招き、何度も対面での議論を行うことができた。この論文は2023年度の公刊を目指し、執筆を進めている。
