项目摘要

本年度は、主たる研究課題であるRushworth写本関連の作業に加えて、アングロ・サクソン期のラテン語聖書の翻訳について、写本の問題や宗教史的背景など多角的な視野から研究を行なうことで、同写本に残る福音書古英語訳をより広いコンテクストで捉えることに重点を置き、作成中のエディションの充実を図る努力を続けている。Rushworth写本についての研究成果は、2015年9月にスペインで行なわれた国際学会にて、同写本の古英語行間訳にみられる語順について研究発表で報告した。この発表で扱った言語現象は、行間訳の作成過程と密接に関係していることから、調査対象とする文献の範囲を広げて、古英語行間訳全体のデータに照らし合わせることで同写本から収集したデータの意義を検討している。また、行間訳が多く残る詩編の写本群について、詳細な調査を開始した。福音書の調査を進めるにあたって、行間訳という翻訳手法をひとつのジャンルとしてとらえ、福音書の枠組みを超えて調査することの必要性を強く感じていたため、エディションの作成に有意義であると判断し、いくつかのケーススタディーを開始した。その一部を2015年7月にロンドンにて行なわれた国際学会で報告したのち、さらに内容を発展させ論文としてProceedingsに投稿した。詩編写本については、さらに2016年8月の国際学会にて発表を行なう予定であり、2016年2月の渡英で、大英図書館所蔵の4点の写本を中心に調査を行なった。また、日本中世英語英文学会の機関誌より依頼を受け、書評論文を一篇執筆し、掲載が確定した。特に2015年7～9月の渡航時には関連の写本を調査し、多くの資料を確認した。アングロ・サクソン時代を含む中世ヨーロッパにおけるキリスト教文化と密接に関連した書籍の書評論文であり、そのための調査は、主たる研究とも強い関連性があり有意義なものとなった。

This year, Rushworth's main research topic is to focus on the research and development of religious history in the context of religious history. The research results of Rushworth's manuscript were reported in September 2015 by the International Society for the Study of Old English. The language phenomenon of this kind of expression is discussed in detail in the process of making and closely related to each other, in the scope of the literature, and in the meaning of the whole text. A detailed survey of poems compiled by the author began.
