1 奄美方言の下記の地域でアクセントの現地調査を行なった。(1)徳之島--28地点の活用形。(2)沖永良部島--16地点の活用形。(3)喜界島--8地点の活用形。(4)奄美大島--龍郷町17地点で体言または用言基本語彙,笠利町佐仁と名瀬市で活用形。2 上記の調査の結果,次の事実をはじめて明らかにした。いずれもこれまでの報告ではほとんど触れられていないか,断片的で不完全な情報しかなかったものである。(1)徳之島では,天城・伊仙・徳之島の3町の主要集落のアクセント体系をほぼつかんだ。特に,与名間・松原・瀬滝・東西の犬田布・阿三・喜念・徳和瀬・花徳・山等々において,従来の報告をかなり修正した。(2)沖永良部島m,和泊・知名の2町の主要集落のアクセントの大要が明らかになった。特に,田皆・正名・知名・上城・西原等では,先行研究を大幅に塗り替えた。(3)喜界島では,使役・受身などの派生形を含む各種の活用形とそのアクセントが分かった。特に中里方言は下降式音調に位置の対立を持つ,興味深い体系である。そのアクセントの成立過程もほぼ明らかになった。(4)奄美大島でも,龍郷町のほぼ全集落のアクセント体系の解明が進んだ。戸口方言にも下降式音調があり,従来の報告よりもはるかに多くのアクセント対立をもつことが最も注目される。秋名方言も芦花部方言と同様の多型アクセントである。一方,笠利町の佐仁方言は活用形でも3型アクセントである。3 奄美大島の佐仁方言は用言編の論文を印刷中である。喜界島方言もすでに整理を終えて,資料集の報告を印刷中である。他の地点も,データベース作成のために,一通りパソコンに入力をすませた。
