项目摘要
The main objective of this research is to make a plan and investigation for a joint research project on "Agricultural Resource Management taking into account Eco-system and Environment Problems"with IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis) and Prof. R.H.Richardson of Texas University. To this end,1. We co-organized a workshop on "Agricultural Resource Management taking into account Environment Problems" with the Society of Animal Production Systems, and observed Mt. Sanbe national park in which grass ground was recovered by pasturage.2. We observed Saito Farm and others which succeeded in creating excellent environment with beautiful view by reclamation by pasturaged cattles, and co-organized a symposium on "Agriculture in Harmonious with Natural Eco-systems" with the Society of Animal Production Systems, and Open Network for Nature Conservation, In the symposium, we discussed and exchanged ideas on the basis of lectures i) Holistic Management in Agriculture in Harmonious with Eco-systems by Prof. R.H.Richardson of Texas University, and ii) Land Use Problems taking into account Earth Scale Environment by Dr. G.Fischer of IIASA.3. We investigated the activities of Lake Biwa Research Institute, and had a meeting with a fisherman in Biwa Lake and a large scale farmer to discuss fishing and farming from the viewpoint of environmental management.Through the above activities, we clarified the theme and direction of our planning international joint research in the future.
