私は、受け入れ研究者である藤田英典教授のご指導のもと、「多文化共生と異文化理解教育に関する比較社会学的研究」というテーマについて研究してきた。本研究は、多文化共生と異文化理解教育という観点から、多文化教育、国際理解教育、異文化間教育等の理念的・実践的問題と課題を中国と日本を事例として考察するものである。博士課程在学中は、中国における多文化教育・二言語教育の構造と機能について研究し、その成果を博士論文にまとめたが、特別研究員一年目の平成14年度は、日本における異文化間理解教育・国際理解教育に関する先行研究の検討と政策及び諸プログラムの分析・検討を行い、日本の小・中学校における異文化間理解教育・国際理解教育の実態を「総合的な学習の時間」を中心に観察調査した。その成果を踏まえて、平成15年度は、主として以下の調査研究を行ってきた。第一に、異文化間理解教育・国際理解教育が継続的行われている高等学校の「国際関係」や「現代社会」の授業を毎週2回(場合によって、3回、4回)観察・調査し、その目標・射程・方法・機能等について考察してきた。第二に、国際理解教育・異文化間教育の機能を明らかにするために、2003年9月から10月にかけて、小・中・高校生を対象にして国際理解や異文化理解に関する質問紙調査を実施した(「生徒の国際理解や異文化理解に関する調査」)。この質問紙調査は、埼玉県を中心に、神奈川県、愛知県、兵庫県の、小学校4校、中学校6校、高等学校4校(普通科、商業科、英語科、芸術科)の児童・生徒を対象にして行われ、有効回答数は1864であった。第三に、現在、以上二つの調査で得たデータの分析を進めている。また、この2年間の研究結果を踏まえて総括的な考察を進めている。その成果の一部は、下記「11.研究発表」欄記載の論文としてまとめたが、さらに、現在、藤田英典教授と共同で、異文化理解教育の構造・機能と多文化共生の課題について総合的な考察を進めており、2004年8月を目途に、その成果を研究報告書にまとめ、印刷公表する予定である。以上のように、この2年間の研究は概ね計画通りに進められ、実りの多いものになったと自己評価している。

Professor Hidenori Fujita,"Comparative Sociological Studies on Multicultural Symbiosis and Intercultural Understanding Education" This study focuses on the implementation of the concepts of multicultural symbiosis, intercultural understanding education, multicultural education, international understanding education, intercultural education, etc., as well as the case studies of China and Japan. Ph.D. Program in China Multicultural Education and Bilingual Education Structure and Function Research and Achievements Ph.D. Thesis Research and Policy Research in Japan "Integrated Learning Time" Center for Intercultural Understanding Education and International Understanding Education in Japanese Primary and Secondary Schools The results of the survey were reported in 2015. First, intercultural understanding education and international understanding education are conducted twice a week (occasion, 3, and 4) in higher education. Second, the function of education for international understanding and intercultural education has been clarified. From September to October, 2003, a questionnaire survey on international understanding and intercultural understanding was conducted among students in primary, middle and high schools ("Survey on students 'international understanding and intercultural understanding"). There were 1864 responses to the survey of children and students in Saitama Prefectural Center, Kanagawa Prefecture, Aichi Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, 4 elementary schools, 6 junior high schools, and 4 high schools (general, business, English, and art). Third, the present, the above two investigations have been conducted to obtain information and analysis. The research results of the past two years will be reviewed comprehensively.
