项目摘要

今年度は、主に次の二点について研究を行った。(1)中世天台声明のうち、管絃講等の法会で演奏された「朗詠伽陀付物」に関する研究。今年度は、声明譜そのものではなく、雅楽器による声明伴奏譜という視点にたち、中世の法会にも出仕していた笙の楽家、豊原家の笙譜を中心に資料調査を行った。特に、管見では現存最古の笙付物譜を収録する豊原英秋『瑞鳳集』の成立に関する問題を検証し、その資料価値や歴史的位置づけを纏めた(『芸能の科学』32号)。具体的には、『瑞鳳集』に先行する豊原家諸本や、幸秋(英秋次男)による『鳳笙譜』など、『瑞鳳集』以降の譜との比較を行った結果、先行譜には付物譜が収録されていないこと、さらにこの付物譜は幸秋以降の譜に踏襲されていることが明らかになった。さらに、京大の古文書室に、応永二九年成立の古写本で、しかも善本である幸秋譜の伝存が新たに確認でき、その内容も『瑞鳳集』と近似していることが分かった。これらの譜によって、朗詠・伽陀という異なる声楽曲が、中世には同譜を以て付物できるほど音楽的に近似していたということを、実証することができた。また、『瑞鳳集』所収の付物譜に、藤家流の朗詠古楽譜を復元合奏する試みも行った(東洋音楽学会例会)。その結果、笙の付物が現行のような一竹奏法(単旋律)ではなく、調子や音取の奏法に近いことが確認できた。(2)中世に行われていた天台声明が現在ではどのように演唱されているか把握するため、また法会聴聞のための予備調査の意も含めて、現行法会の執行状況をデータベース化し、現在もデータの修正を続けている(「寺事データベース」)。天台声明は各派声明の雄たる存在であるため、このデータベースは全国各宗派の本山級寺院の寺事(仏教行事)を対象としており、天台の法儀が中世以降、他宗に如何なる影響を与えたか知る上で、比較の一助となるものである。
